Levi’s Workwear x Billy Reid: Behind the Scenes
partnering with the GQ recipient of "Best New Menswear Designer in America," Levi's new line incorporates classic elements and bits of perfection that help create what Billy Reid affectionately refers to as "heirloom pieces" - something you can pass down through your family. the craftsmanship of the clothing is immaculate, with every detail scrutinized and considered for the long term, "the needle that you put on it. how that needle digs in the fabric and creates wear over time."

Ripped: T-Shirts From The Underground
in regard to clothing, t-shirts are my favorite item... right up there with pearl snaps. cuz there's nothin like the way you feel when you're sporting the t-shirt and jeans look. if you're like me, this book may also be for you! from Amazon:
Ripped is the first book to document the shirts of the post-punk and indie period, after the submission of 1960s rock ‘n’ roll to mass popularity and before the onset of ironic consumerism. Carefully selected from the archives of vintage fashion collector Cesar Padilla, the 200 T-shirts in this book are classic examples of rare and extremely limited shirts created by and for the very bands who embodied the true essence of the DIY and indie movements—from The Ramones to Sonic Youth, John Cale, Talking Heads, Madonna, X, Pil, The Germs, and many others. Each shirt has been photographed in all its gritty, sweat-stained glory just as it was found—on the street, in a thrift store, or inherited from a friend.

French Connection – The Man
fashion label French Connection released a series of advertisements focusing on "The Man" and "The Woman", a satirical look at the essence of men and women. i particularly enjoy The Man adverts!
perhaps it is my fondness of Seattle weather that gives me such joy over this one, or maybe it's the facetious remark by the narrator, "The man leaves for the cinema. He puts on his coat. It will rain. He knows this; a regular Nostradamus." visit their YouTube channel to see all 6!
Your Scene Sucks

referring to the kids involved with today's music scene, my good friend dave mcwane once said, "it's not a fucking fashion show." truer words have never been spoken.
