The Kickstarter Film Festival

On Friday, July 9th, Kickstarter and Rooftop Films are hosting the first annual Kickstarter Film Festival on the roof of the OId American Can Factory in Brooklyn.
The festival will feature 90 minutes of film and video from a dozen Kickstarter projects, including feature films, stop-motion animation, documentaries, art, and dance. All of them amazing.

DAIN’s first show is being held at the Brooklynite Gallery in Brooklyn. the show is centered around the 1940s; DAIN seems to have taken elements of the period and slammed them together with the ever flambouyant highlighter colors that became popular in the 80s. i like his stuff!
Dumpster Diving

pool parties are a happenin thing in during the summer time… but what if you don’t have one nearby? such is the case in Brooklyn. skater, Jocko Weyland teamed up with Macro-Sea to remedy the situation by turning dumpsters into pools. the pool party opened July 4th. there’s good information about Macro-Sea and Macro-Sea Pools over at ReadyMade.
