Mad Men: Behind the Scenes
Rolling Stone has a great set of photos from behind the scenes of Mad Men. i couldn't resist posting the image above - new technology in an old setting. the rest of the photos are just as entertaining and give a glimpse of the creative direction behind the show.
FUCT – The Doctrine – pt.2
PART TWO:
here's the second installment of the visually striking short film by Erik Brunetti, founder of street wear brand FUCT. the first version was posted here, but has been copied below for those who'd rather see one and two in the same sitting. check Hypebeast to go behind the scenes and view the making of the film!
and the song you hear in the background of The Doctrine pt. 2 is by Dead Meadow. check this post to watch the trailer for their feature film and lastest LP... totally rad!
PART ONE:
Where the Wild Things Are – Behind the Scenes with Maurice Sendak
so often we hear of books being turned into films. too often, we hear the film has taken from the book; the book is better than the film. in this behind the scenes look, Maurice Sendak talks about the creation of Where the Wild Things Are and his collaboration with Spike Jonze. what's incredible about the partnership is that through Spike, Maurice has reconnected with his youth and the creativity of the time. Maurice speaks very highly of Spike and his work with Where the Wild Things Are, "I've never seen a movie that's looked or felt like this." what may be most remarkable about the project is that Spike has touched Maurice with his creativity and understanding of Maurice's work.
i love Where the Wild Things are and couldn't be more elated to see the story recreated through such a beautiful vision!
