4Free – Talking Heads – Demos (1975)
there's no doubt that when Talking Heads stepped out on the New York music scene, they changed the world. numerous bands have attributed the development of the musical style in no small part to Talking Heads. before they made it big, they were making waves at the legendary punk venue CBGB, where the photo above was taken. it was around this time that the band recorded demos for CBS Records. however, despite their effort, CBS passed on Talking Heads and it would be another two years before the band was signed to Sire Records in 1977. i found a copy of the demo released to CBS and thought i'd share with all of you - download Talking Head's 1975 CBS Demo 4Free!

4Free – Theophilus London – I Want You
man... i seriously could not get into Theophilus' last mixtape. i couldn't stand his delivery, the music that accompanied it... i really didn't enjoy anything about This Charming Mixtape - and certainly didn't think it was charming. with that being said, you can understand how hard it was for me to give him a second try.... but i did. and i actually really enjoy I Want You. i'm diggin the strong 80s underline and the well executed transitions between tracks/feelings.... the lyrics compliment the supporting music and vice versa. i like the flow through the album and really appreciate the later tracks.
