Alaia Surf Planks
get in touch with the karmic roots of surfing with a Tom Wegener Alaia surf plank. made from Paulownia wood, the boards have a much greater strength-to-weight ratio than balsa, are easier to work with and are impervious to saltwater. Wegener's work and boards are featured in The Present, a surf documentary by Woodshed Films. be sure to read the interview between Surfline and Tom Wegener that discusses the inspiration of the boards, what makes them work and the future of surfboards!
Deus Customs
rarely are we graced with the presence of a multifaceted organization doing everything right. however, that's exactly what is happening for Deus Ex Machina. the aussies know what's what and have grown to be a formidable manufacturer of motorcycles, bicycles and now surfboards. the company's passion for surfing has grown beyond personal fulfillment to become Deus Customs, a label designed to bring the heart and energy of Deus on the water to the consumer world. expertly crafted and fashionably displayed, the boards make a strong statement on the beach!
Ocean Green Surfboards
Ocean Green is an environmentally conscious surfboard manufacturer using sustainable and natural raw materials. the company doesn't want surfers to compromise their karmic passion by riding boards made through ecologically damaging manufacturing and materials. the boards are made from Nicaraguan balsa wood and comply with Fare Trade standards. i have to imagine that catching a wave on one of these beauties can only leave you with a clean feeling and full of positive energy!
Nike Vintage Running
i'm a big fan of well-executed retro products. while looking for vintage sneakers, i ran across Nike's vintage site, complete with a copy of the Oregon Runner made to look as if it were released in 1977. success comes with age and Nike's marketing of their retro running shoes is certainly a testament to that. the only thing missing was a mention of running legend Steve Prefontaine. just looking at this makes me want to watch Without Limits which, in turn, will make me want to get out and run!
Rock, Paper, Scissors: A Geek Tragedy (trailer)
oooh, this looks good! from the same group that brought us Copyright Criminals.
Pompakour

Burn
as if the world needs another energy drink... Coca Cola just released this short to promote Burn - their new entry into the energy drink market. despite the fact that it's an advertisement, i think the video is super dope! check out the others here: Playground and Peepshow. i definitely want to see more!
