Design: 1972 Munich Olympic Games
one of my favorite design blogs, Wanken, did a series on the design of materials for the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. the series focuses on the design of posters, tickets, brochures, match boxes and bulletins that were distributed in coordination with the games. Otl Aicher is the genius mind behind the designs, creating the design of the materials in an age without computer graphic design. check out his work as it relates to the 1972 Munich Olympic Games – there are a lot of great images and pieces for inspiration!
